Does permanent makeup hurt?
Most clients describe the treatment as very manageable. A numbing cream is used if needed throughout the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible.
Is permanent makeup a tattoo?
Semi-permanent makeup is different from a traditional body tattoo. The pigment is implanted much more superficially into the skin, creating a softer and more natural-looking result that gradually fades over time.
How long do powder brows or lip blush last?
Results typically last between 18 months to 2 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and skincare routine.
Why is a top-up appointment required?
A top-up appointment is essential after 6 weeks because everyone heals differently and some pigment naturally fades during the healing process. The second session allows the colour, shape and healed results to be perfected.
Will my brows look very dark at first?
Yes — immediately after treatment the colour may appear darker and more intense. During the healing process, the brows soften and typically heal around 30–40% lighter.
How long is the healing process?
Initial healing usually takes around 7–14 days, while the skin continues to fully heal underneath for approximately 4–6 weeks.
Can I still wear makeup after PMU?
Yes — once the healing process is complete. During healing, it is important to avoid applying makeup directly onto the treated area to allow the skin to recover properly.
Who is permanent makeup suitable for?
PMU is ideal for clients with sparse brows, uneven shape, gaps, loss of definition or for anyone wanting to save time and feel more confident without applying makeup daily.
